Solidarity Project: Vicente Berenguer Education Award

More than two years ago, a group of people came together to start this project:make a difference in education in the third world. This project would not have been possible without the tireless organizing team. Below, we share a photo with part of the team.

In a joint effort that transcends borders, a group of leading companies, includingMatties Bags, we have joined forces to sponsor the "Vicente Berenguer Education Award," an accolade that promises to transform lives and communities in the third world. Endowed with the impressive sum of 20,000 euros, this global award aims to promote educational projects that make a difference in disadvantaged regions.

This social project is a tribute to the legacy and tireless commitment ofVicente Berenguer, a prominent educator and advocate of values, who has dedicated his life to improving education in disadvantaged environments. The initiative is supported by a renowned jury, which includes the well-known surgeonDr. Pedro Cavadas, a prominent figure in thehumanitarian medicineand to theFather Ángel García Rodríguezfounder priest and president of theNGO Messengers of Peace(Awarded the Prince of Asturias Award for Concord in 1994).

Vicente Berenguer, whose name titles this award, has been a beacon in education and values, leaving a profound mark on the educational mission in Mozambique. His dedication over more than half a century is a testament to his passion for education and the positive impact it can have on underprivileged communities.
